This is the first post so I just want to say hi to all of you.

AOE (RoRv1.0) is still the most favorite game played in Vietnam, we have a big community with millions of fans and thousands of gamers playing AOE.

For a long time, we have had many tournaments, many show-matches but just with Vietnamese gamers, some with Chinese.

Our Vietnamese community will be very excited if we have more international friends, tournaments and show-matches.

Our game settings are:
1.       Age of Empires The Rise of Rome version 1.0
2.       Hill Country map, no revealed
3.       Speed 2.0
4.       Categories: Random, Assyrian, Shang (solo=1v1 or teams)
5.       Bronze attack, no villager or tool rush
6.       No walls, no towers, no water maps, no cheats, no hacks
7.       Hanoi, Vietnam GMT is +7
8.       Voobly  RoR v 1.0 HD server?

Voobly looks forward to adding support for Vietnamese players. By the end of this weekend we should have Rise of Rome HD version 1.0 released along with updated anticheat. It's smooth, no lag

As i know, All AOE Gamer in vietnam us version 1.0b.
And max population only at 200.

Version 1.0b or 1.0?

Please be very clear and careful with the versions Age of Empires The Rise of Rome has 2 versions the patched one v1.0a and the unpatched one v1.0.
Age of Empires has other versions v1.0b and the last one v1.0c.
Vietnam uses Age of Empires The Rise of Rome expansion v1.0.

Ok so just to clarify, it was a mistake when Toan said viets use 1.0b? Or do some use 1.0 and others 1.0b?

I currently talk about Age of Empires Rise of Rome not about Age Of Empires.

As I'm trying the test, After play via Voobly AOE ROR
I try connect to Voobly version from common version play in Viet Nam in another PC.
It's not compatible to check 'I'm Ready' box. And it say:
Voobly version is 1.0a.
Vietnam Common version is 1.0b


So where is 1.0b version? maybe this is ROR 1.0
Maybe computer is mistake because AOE 1.0b and ROR 1.0 is same patch.


I think Viets playing ROR 1.0.

Ror has two versions: 1.0 and 1.0a.. viets use 1.0

Aoe1 has two versions 1.0b and 1.0c. Viets dont play aoe1? So where does 1.0b come into play?

We are not so sure where the 1.0b came from, maybe a bug from AoE? But the version that GameTV players play is the Age of Empires The Rise of Rome v 1.0 as you can see in the screen shot provided at the side of the name 'Vietnam'. The one from the host is the patched version 1.0a which we do not use.

Right! Just focus on ROR 1.0 version.
